6.22.09 Honeymoon, day 8
Time to go home. We packed up and got on the road for our long journey. Not in the mood or a time for taking pictures!
6.21.09 Honeymoon, day 7
Today is our final day! :( We are sad to leave but glad to go home to our own bed, kitties, and to just be at home. We went to the island today and had a blast. We arrived with plenty of time to spare before our sail boat ride. We window shopped, walked around the marina, and took in all the the beautiful lilacs. They were all over in the city and on the island.
Then, we decided to have a drink at the Pink Pony Bar & Grill.

We are sailing on a catamaran. It was so relaxing and beautiful!

Stopped off for drink at Patrick Sinclair's Irish Pub before going back to the mainland. The bartender, Jesse, made me a special martini that was not on the menu. Yummy! We also met some awesome islanders!
And finally, at stop to the Blue Water Grill for dinner before we retire back to the campsite for the evening.

6.20.09 Honeymoon, day 6
Today we went parasailing and back to a few shops in Mackinaw City.

6.19.09 Honeymoon, day 5
Today, we decided to go to Sault Ste. Marie and through the Soo Locks. Jewels stayed in their free kennel while we were on the boat. She was good girl and did not bark. They even gave her a certificate! We stopped at the winery there and headed back. We dropped Jewels off at the camper and went out for dinner to the Blue Water Grill & Bar... excellent seafood and martini's!

6.18.09 Honeymoon, day 4
Today, Michele was still not feeling well with a sinus infection. We decide to take it easy in the morning and watched a movie after breakfast. We decided to head across the bridge to St. Ignace for the afternoon. We had lunch, went to the Mystery Spot, Castle Rock, and took a ride in an airplane. We had a campfire that evening with hobo pizza pies for dinner.

Molly, the adorable and loveable golden retriever, is the airports 'mascot.' She comes with the owner in the morning and goes home with him at night, just a her 2 predecessors did!

7.15.09 Deer in our yard!
Seeing deer in our yard or the neighbors is becoming a daily occurrence. This Momma and her 3 babies were in the middle of the road at the end of our driveway when Jewels spotted them. She was inside and needless to say, her response is a combination of barking, growling, and snorting. I decided to grab my camera in hopes of getting a shot of them. The wandered up the driveway and I was able to get a few shots before they ran off into the woods! :)

06.17.09, honeymoon, day 3
Here is a cute picture of Jewels getting love from her Daddy (Steve) on our honeymoon. Yes, she is a spoiled girl!
Today, we didn't do much. Michele is very sick but Steve (the perfect husband) loves her anyway!!! We rested, had breakfast, drove around St. Ignace, had dinner at the Dixie Salon in Mackinaw City, and watched a movie.
